INVITATION: Talk and Workshop on precarity and the future of welfare: towards a Universal Basic Income?

On Wednesday 27th June, Professor Guy Standing, founder of the Basic Income Earth Network is delivering a talk to the People, Place and Policy Conference  at Sheffield Hallam University.  His talk will focus on The precariat in the Commons and will be followed by a more intimate round-table workshop exploring the future of welfare provision.

 The round-table will feature academics, practitioners, policy-makers and other interested parties, opening up questions about the future of welfare provision in the UK, and how we can develop a fairer, more equitable model of welfare.

 Attendance at the whole conference is £35 for the day. However we are making available a small number of FREE places for people would like to just attend Guy Standing’s talk and the following workshop.
